A: DMHS Band and Orchestra students, families and chaperones enrolled for the 2024-2025 school year. Student enrollment in Band is a prerequisite for joining the trip.

A: The band will be performing at the London New Year’s Day Parade, concluding at Big Ben, and in Gala performances at historic venues throughout the week.

A: Yes! Families are welcome to travel with us and participate in all activities alongside the band. Please let Mr. Hummel know if you are traveling with the Band.

A: Yes, we will require 10-15 adults to chaperone, maintaining a ratio of 6 students to 1 adult. Chaperones will always accompany students throughout the trip.

A: Travel will commence on Day 1, likely with an overnight flight of approximately 11 hours, with a connection through the East Coast. Upon arrival in London around lunchtime, the group will settle in, with two meals provided during the journey.

A: The travel company will handle the transportation and shipping of large instruments and uniforms, ensuring their safe delivery to our hotel upon arrival. They will also be insured by the Travel company. We recommend small instrument cases travel with students on the plane.
